FastEddie1Edward J. Hall (63) passed away on September 4th in Fontana, California. Born April 26, 1951 in Arcadia, CA to Clarence and Betty Hall, “Fast Eddie” as he was known to his family and friends was a hard-working man with many friends in the world of trucking. He married his wife, Michele, in 1980, and then they moved from Big Bear Lake, CA to Fontana, CA in 1993. As one of the original co-founders of the Orange County Truck Drags in the early 1980s, the precursor to the modern-day Truckin’ For Kids Show & Drags, which is now in its 34th year, “Fast Eddie” was a trucking legend in Southern California. Known for his maroon-colored hot rod Peterbilt 359 transfer (which he loved to drag race whenever possible), his ZZ Top-style beard and his love for Coors beer, Eddie was not an angel, but he was a generous and kind man, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Boating on Lake FastEddie2Havasu was one of his favorite pastimes, and he always said that he wanted to be buried near the lake. Following a short graveside service at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens, Eddie was laid to rest in a spot overlooking his favorite place. Eddie is survived by his mother, Betty Hall of Lake Havasu City; his wife, Michele Hall; his children, Danielle, Carrina, Eddie Jr. and Jeremy Cook; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Our prayers and condolences go out to the entire Hall family.

R.I.P Eddie Hall was the most giving man. We worked with him for years. The parties he had every year he went all out for his drivers his wife and kids grandkids. I will never forget this man. We love you Michele. Ralph and Cindy

I tried getting a hold of Eddie today. I hadn’t worked with or spoke with him in years (I left the area for a while). He’s very committed to service, and I’m in a situation that calls for Eddie.

A Google search brought me here, and I’m stunned. The world lost a very good person.
