Tim “Slingshot” Stephens (30) of Hilmar, CA always knew that he wanted to be a truck driver – from the very first time he sat in a big rig at 10 years old. He can remember sitting in his living room, looking out the window, watching the trucks go by, and imagining himself in the driver’s seat. These days, Tim is living his dream. Running for the Drake family (Drake Farms Trucking out of San Luis Obispo, California), they saw Tim’s passion and work ethic and helped him get his own truck – the viper red 2014 Peterbilt 386 seen here. Tim’s dad once told him, “Find something in life that you truly enjoy, and you’ll never have to work again,” and that is exactly what Tim has done. Hard work and determination – that is the Spirit of America – and the Spirit of the American Trucker!
