“Having fun all wrong” – Darren Friedrichsen of Bloomfield, Nebraska
(Darren is a driver for White Trucking out of Hadar, Nebraska).

JuneSpiritPic2Darren Friedrichsen (44) of Bloomfield, NE grew up around trucks. The first truck he rode in was a Peterbilt 352 cabover with his dad. “I was hooked from the first time I ever followed the trailer around a corner in the spot mirror from that passenger seat,” says Darren. The truck he is lucky enough to pilot these days for White Trucking is the 2015 Peterbilt 389 seen here. When this truck was ordered, his boss, Mike White, let him have a great deal of say in the specs. After picking it up, it spent six weeks in their shop in Hadar, NE where all of the extras were added, as well as a few of their own custom touches. It’s been a team effort from the start – and they’re still not done! “Having fun all wrong” is a line from a Roger Creamer song, but it describes what most who love trucking feel – it’s fun to those folks, like Darren, but nobody else understands.
