\"\"<\/a>Have you ever wondered if this trip will be your last? What kind of mood were you in when you left the house? Did you tell the kids you love them? Did you walk out the door without telling your other half how much they mean to you? I know it sounds morbid, but these are questions worth asking. And here are some more. If this is your last trip, where are you going next? Are you worm dirt, or do you know your Creator? As a Christian, I believe in repentance and faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who died for our sins and made it possible for us to have eternal life with Him in heaven. I know we don\u2019t all believe the same things, but I\u2019d be willing to bet that most of us take our time here for granted. I\u2019m guilty of that, too. And, contrary to the skewed false prophesies of some people in the news recently, the Bible says no one knows the day or the hour that Jesus is coming back. Likewise, no one knows, when they step out the door, if they are coming back home. You just never know. This poem is about a driver who left home and didn\u2019t realize that he wasn\u2019t coming back. It\u2019s a sad story but, then again, so was Red Sovine\u2019s \u201cTeddy Bear\u201d and other old classic trucker tales. I encourage you to strengthen your relationships, at home and with your friends, and\/or with your Creator before you put that truck in gear, my friends. You just never know when you\u2019ll be rolling home.<\/p>\n

ROLLING HOME<\/h2>\n

You embrace with me, as I leave our home,
\nI\u2019m heading for the highway.
\nYou have packed my things, and wear a smile,
\nIn your hands, my face you hold.<\/p>\n

You have called my name, and I turn around,
\nYour eyes and hair are shining.
\nWon\u2019t you stay with me, for a little while,
\nBefore you head out in the cold?<\/p>\n

Oh my lovely girl! Won\u2019t you dry your eyes,
\nI hate to leave you crying.
\nI\u2019ll be back someday, and it won\u2019t be long,
\nI\u2019ve just got to take this load.<\/p>\n

When I see your face, in the dashboard light,
\nI picture you beside me.
\nAnd I talk to you, as the truck rolls on,
\nOh, the stories I have told.<\/p>\n

Then SUDDENLY, thunder and lightening,
\nAnd all at once, something sounds broken!
\nI swear, I held with all my might,
\nBut the tractor left the road.<\/p>\n

As the rain fell down, on this twisted pile,
\nI heard the angels calling.
\nI resisted some, but the pain soon left,
\nAnd I felt my spirit pulled.<\/p>\n

In His arms I fell, when I saw Him smile,
\nI knew Him as my Father.
\nThen He picked me up and He said, well done,
\nIt was time that you came home.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll remember me, when the big trucks roll,
\nTheir lights and chrome are shining.
\nIf you think of me, won\u2019t you wear a smile,
\nAnd remember days of old.<\/p>\n

When the sun goes down, the shadows stretch,
\nAcross a lonely highway.
\nIf you listen close, you will hear the sound,
