\"AprPoemPic2\"<\/a><\/strong>Life is good, but it\u2019s not always easy. The trucking profession can really try a person and test one\u2019s patience and endurance. There\u2019s no doubt that we can all be dealt a bad hand every now and then, but I believe that it is very important to CHOOSE to have a good day. Nothing can keep you down, unless you let it. I, personally, choose to lean on our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as my strength to endure hard times, but I will admit that I\u2019m guilty of forgetting to turn to Him, or give thanks to Him, in all of the situations I encounter along the way. Whether you share my beliefs or not, I would like to encourage you to draw on whatever healthy source that gives you strength to overcome a bad day and choose to make it an easy day. Think of the Lord. Think of your family. Think of your hobby. Or, consider the luxuries this job has to offer by way of a beautiful and ever-changing view out the windshield. Spring is finally in the air, and I love seeing the blooming trees and plants, the baby animals getting acquainted to their big new world, and the warmer weather. You might have had a terrible day yesterday, but as a very sweet friend of mine, Lindsey, always reminds me, today is a brand new day, with no mistakes in it. So, CHOOSE to have an easy day \u2013 after all, what do you have to lose except a lot of unwanted and unproductive anxiety and stress? An easy day is just a choice away!<\/p>\n

AN EASY DAY<\/strong>

Lord, I hope…
\nToday\u2019s an easy day.
\nAll my cares of yesterday,
\nHave all but gone away.<\/p>\n

Up ahead…
\nI see the skies of blue.
\nClouds are all behind me now,
\nAnd everything is new.<\/p>\n

Sleepy towns…
\nLook vibrant in the sun.
\nKids are in the schoolyards,
\nAnd they\u2019re clearly having fun.<\/p>\n

City limits…
\nHear the echoes of my stacks.
\nMy eyes fix on the highway,
\nAnd I ain\u2019t-a-lookin\u2019 back.<\/p>\n

Lord, I hope…
\nToday\u2019s an easy day.
\nPuffy clouds and amber waves,
\nAnd I just fly away.<\/p>\n

Let these wheels…
\nRoll harmlessly along.
\nRemind me why I used to think,
\nThe road\u2019s where I belong.<\/p>\n

Let me feel…
\nThe rumble of the road.
\nOpen up my mind to all,
\nThe stories it has told.<\/p>\n

Highway signs…
\nSay miles and miles to go.
\nThat just gives me lots of time,
\nTo see what You will show.<\/p>\n

Vapor waves…
\nAre beckoning ahead.
\nHelping me forget about,
\nThe worries I have shed.<\/p>\n

Lord, I hope…
\nToday\u2019s an easy day.
\nMake me more aware of all,
\nThe blessings on my way.<\/p>\n

Thank You, Lord!
