\"\"<\/a>Being featured in a well-known publication is certainly exciting \u2013 the bragging rights are always fun, and the notoriety is coveted by many. But, what\u2019s even better is being chosen as the cover feature! That\u2019s when you feel like you\u2019ve finally hit the big time! But I wonder how the rigs feel about it \u2013 after all, it\u2019s their grill, chillin\u2019 front and center for all to see \u2013 and what about the trucks that think they\u2019re all that, but just don\u2019t meet the coveted, cover-worthy criteria? This month\u2019s poem is another silly parody that I hope you\u2019ll enjoy. But, before you do, I urge you to listen to the song that inspired it \u2013 go to www.youtube.com<\/a> and search for Dr. Hook\u2019s \u201cCover of the Rolling Stone\u201d song. Once you get the rhythm flowing in your mind (or if you already know it), read this poem. I hope you enjoy my parody called, \u201cCover of the Next 10-4!\u201d Not every truck can make the cover, but if you think yours has what it takes, send them a picture and a little information about you and your rig \u2013 they are always looking for \u201cdiamonds in the rough\u201d or other trucks that might not be out in the public (or truck show) eye. And remember, it\u2019s not always just about the truck \u2013 it is about the owner, as well, so if you have a good story, they would love to hear it. Well, I\u2019m a big black semi, I got chrome and blingers,
\nAnd I\u2019m loved everywhere I roll.
\nA thing of real beauty and a beacon of youth,
\nWith ten thousand diodes or more.
\nI take all kinds of hills, with power to the gills,
\nBut the thrill I\u2019ve never known.
\nIs the thrill that\u2019ll getcha, when you get your picture,
\nOn the cover of the next 10-4!<\/p>\n

I got a freaky chrome lady, I gross more than 80,
\nI\u2019ve got winches, hooks and chains.
\nI\u2019ve got my poor old kitty-catty,
\nTowing most anything.
\nI can haul your ride, and blow your mind,
\nI can blind your eyes with chrome.
\nI\u2019m the king of rubberneckers, but I can\u2019t get my wrecker,

\nTons of lights and lots of chrome.
