Whether you call it a frame cover, a catwalk or a deck plate, a \u201cflush-mount\u201d deck plate can really add a smooth custom look to your truck. In years past, these had to be custom built by a fabrication shop and typically was a long and tedious experience. Now, with the Iowa Customs program, deck plates can be ordered quickly and easily, and can be ready to install within a week or two!<\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong>
\nContact your \u201cMafia Parts Pro\u201d at 4 State Trucks to obtain a Deck Plate Measuring Form.<\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong>
\nFill in the Length, Width, Height, Material Selection and Amenities on the Deck Plate Measuring Form, then submit to 4 State Trucks for a sign-off drawing of YOUR custom deck plate.<\/p>\n

STEP 3:<\/strong>
\nSign and return the deck plate drawing. Then, in just a few short weeks, you are ready for installation!<\/p>\n

STEP 4:<\/strong>
\nIn addition to disconnecting the 5th wheel airline, carefully release all air pressure and make sure cab air bags are fully deflated, especially if your deck plate extends under the sleeper\/cab.<\/p>\n

STEP 5:<\/strong>
\nUn-install the recessed airline box and\/or storage box for ease of installation. Balance on drive shaft.<\/p>\n

STEP 6:<\/strong>
\nSlide the deck plate into desired location, then re-install the recessed airline box and storage boxes.<\/p>\n

STEP 7:<\/strong>
\nLocate your Iowa Customs hardware kit and using their \u201cPatented Mounting Clips\u201d attach to deck plate and tighten equally from side to side.<\/p>\n

STEP 8:<\/strong>
\nMount the anti-slide brackets to the deck plate to prevent the deck plate from moving forward or backwards.<\/p>\n

STEP 9:<\/strong>
\nAfter securing and tightening all the hardware and making sure there are no other apparent issues, then installation is complete.<\/p>\n
