Eileen and her life-long husband Al answered an ad in 10-4 Magazine way back in 1995 looking for route drivers. For five years, Al delivered magazines around the Los Angeles area and loved it (he always dreamed of being a truck driver). In 2000, Eileen retired from her “real” job and joined Al on the route. After Al died in 2003, Eileen continued to deliver magazines until she just got too busy with her friends and grandkids to do it anymore. Although Eileen retired from her 10-4 route in March of 2006, she became a regular fixture at our parties and company events. Eileen was 79 years old when she went to be with the Lord. Born in Rosebud, South Dakota, her family moved to Browning, Montana when she was three years old. After graduating from high school, she moved to Spokane, Washington and attended Kinman Business University. While in Spokane, she met Al, and the two were married in 1952. After Al was discharged from the Air Force in 1954, they moved to Southern California, where they bought a house in West Covina. They lived in that house for the rest of their lives. When Al died, they had been married for 51 years. Over the years, Eileen worked for Bank of America, the Los Angeles Fair Association and Avon, but she is most thankful for being able to serve the Lord at the Narramore Christian Foundation in Rosemead. Eileen leaves behind a brother (Ed), a son (Paul) and a daughter (Deborah), along with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Eileen was laid to rest next to her beloved husband Al at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA. We’d like to offer our condolences to the entire family. We will surely miss Eileen’s big, beautiful smile at all of our 10-4 Magazine functions.

We are sad to report that one of our retired distribution route drivers and friends, Eileen Beisel, passed away on July 22, 2012.
