\"\"<\/a>Like many other old B-Model Macks out there, Ray Anderson\u2019s 1958 B-61 Mack has a colorful history. He purchased the truck in 2003 on e-Bay from the Hanes underwear family, who had used it to haul hay to the horses on their farm in North Carolina. The truck has only 130,000 miles on it and is in excellent shape. Ray drove the truck from North Carolina to his home in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and has done nothing mechanical to it except to install one new leaf in the front spring and an air hose. When he bought it, the Mack had an old 18-ft hay rack, which Ray promptly removed. He then shortened the frame by 30 inches and then added a fifth wheel. He also added a wet kit, as he has a hydraulic beaver-tail on the drop-deck trailer he pulls. All of the other changes Ray has made have been merely cosmetic. However, Ray\u2019s interest in tired iron is not limited to just trucks. He and his brother Howard restore old two-cylinder John Deere tractors, and collectively they own more than 30 of these antique beauties.
