Often delivering directly to the front doors of busy fitness clubs with fancy vehicles parked nearby, Shannon Lique has rolled 2.5 million accident-free miles and has never even scratched a car doing these tricky “Jack-knife” drops. How does he do it? When you haul freight you gotta rush, but when it’s time to back it up, it’s time to slow it down. “Take it slow and do it right” – that is Shannon’s motto! But as much as he loves trucking, his favorite time is supper at the family table with his wife and five kids (ages 8 to 24). He loves to learn what he missed while out on the road because their family rule is not to go to bed until all of the day’s problems have been dealt with. Shannon’s breathtaking Peterbilt (and matching Great Dane reefer) is not new – it is a 2008 – but it sure looks new! Balancing his crazy trucking life with his grounded family life is the key to this trucker’s success and happiness.
