Waiting Hearts Get Their Miracle

A young man and woman fell in love, got married and completed college. Both became successful in their careers and finally it was time to start a family, but no matter how they tried, even with some of the latest medical treatments, there was no success. After 15 years, they prayed about it and then decided to contact the county about adopting a child. It was not done overnight – it took close to a year to get to the point where they were accepted by the county as being eligible to adopt. Then, they waited. While they were waiting, the good Lord started to work in His way. This young couple was informed of a lady that was pregnant and due to circumstances beyond her control she was not able to support this child. After meeting with this expectant mother, she agreed to carry the baby if the couple would raise it. So, the first miracle was a private adoption. But, being a high-risk pregnancy, it was a long six months. At one point, they were told there was a possibility of a Down Syndrome baby, but they never lost faith. After two tests, the second miracle occurred – it was determined that the fetus was healthy. Finally, the birth of their son came in the middle of the night, and the husband only drove off the road once on their way to the hospital! The baby was born with some complications and put in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit, but with modern technology, they were eventually able to take him home. That was over three months ago and the couple is overjoyed with their miracle baby. It is so wonderful to see how they enjoy this little man. He has made all the difference in their lives. The Lord also blessed my life, for he is my grandson – and he has completely taken my heart. The Lord gave us a wonderful gift, and already I cannot imagine life without him. Yes, I am Pro-Life. I firmly believe that each child the Lord has made has a right to live out his or her life, for each child is a blessed event – and the future of our country.
