Andrew “Drew” Myers has been drawing ever since he was a little kid. In fifth grade, Drew entered a drawing contest and took first place, which further ignited his passion. He began to draw everything – people, cars, animals, buses, airplanes, landscapes – you name it, he would draw it. Drew always loved big trucks and thought he might grow up to be a truck driver but after high school he opted instead for a stint in the U.S. Marines and a tour overseas in Desert Storm, where he did a lot of drawing to keep his sanity. After he got home, he took a “regular” job but continued to draw. One day a truck driver noticed one of Drew’s big rig pictures hanging on the wall behind him and asked about it. The driver asked Drew if he had ever seen 10-4 Magazine, and upon hearing that he hadn’t, went right out to his truck and got him a copy. Drew loved the magazine (thanks Drew) and began drawing all of the trucks pictured inside. After drawing many of them, he began adding his own little touches, making these cool rigs even cooler by adding bigger stacks, more extreme paint jobs, wild custom wheels, etc. Since then, he has went on to draw many of our past cover trucks, and even sold a few of the drawings to the owners. He starts every drawing as a simple pencil sketch and then goes over everything with ink, later adding color and more detail with markers.
