NTA Rolls Out Mobile Unit

In an effort to better serve their members, the NorthAmerican Transportation Association (NTA) recently purchased a 37-foot motorhome to perform mobile safety compliance reviews and drug testing for their clients. The unit, which features a waiting area, an office area and a specimen collecting area (the bathroom) can also be used at trade shows and trucking events to solicit new members and serve existing ones. “We’ve been looking for a unit with the perfect setup. This Mobile Safety Compliance Unit will allow us to go to a company and perform a full safety compliance review without disrupting the member’s day-to-day business procedures,” said Wayne Schooling, NTA’s President and author of our monthly column called Wayne’s World. Whether you have five trucks or five hundred, Wayne and his crew can take care of you. The unit also has a TV/VCR which allows for small safety classes to be held inside. Wanting to cover the exterior with cool graphics, Wayne called “Mike the Stripe” (Mike Tomaselli) of Aaero Sign Design from an ad in 10-4. Mike came out and did the job in less than three days. It even says, “Don’t Miss Wayne’s World in 10-4 Magazine” in large letters down each side of the motorhome. Thanks for that Wayne! The NTA is a nationwide association established to provide services, benefits and information to private fleets, owner-operators and trucking companies. Look for NTA’s Mobile Safety Compliance Unit on the road soon or at a trucking event near you.
